The 1978 Colgate-Palmolive Grand Prix was a professional tennis circuit held that year. It consisted of four Grand Slam tournaments, the Grand Prix tournaments and the Nations Cup, a team event.In addition eight World Championship Tennis (WCT) tournaments, a separate professional tennis circuit held from 1971 through 1977, were incorporated into the Grand Prix circuit.

The Swedish Grand Prix was a round of the Formula One World Championship from 1973 to 1978. It took place at the Scandinavian Raceway in Anderstorp (Gislaved Municipality), about 30 km from Jönköping, in Småland, Sweden.. Brabham BT46B at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2001. 1978 saw the only race appearance of the Brabham BT46B. This car was also known at the Fan car.

The 1978 Swedish Grand Prix was Round 8 of the 1978 Formula 1 World Championship. The event was held at the Scandinavian Raceway in Anderstorp, Sweden on Sunday, 17 June 1978. Mario Andretti started on pole position in the Lotus Ford and Niki Lauda was the race winner for Ferrari. This was the last year the Swedish Grand Prix was held.

The superiority of the Lotus 79 "ground effects" car was severely challenged in the Swedish GP by the B-version of the BT46 Brabham-Alfa Romeo, a brilliantly conceived design even through there was considerable doubt as to its legality according to rules agreed upon by the Formula One Constructors Association and the CSI.
